PSC Trading extra-sturdy meat-tenderising hammer mallet.
The heavy duty meat tenderising mallet of commercial grade and has an overall length of 28.5cm. The "head" is 7 cm by 5.5 cm by 6 cm in size and has larger and smaller pyramid-shaped spikes on opposite sides.
The mallet is used to prepare meat for cooking, slabs are pounded using this mallet or pounder. Meat fibres are softer after being pounded with a mallet, making it simpler to chew and digest.
The larger spikes are used in cooking tough steak cuts and is effective when broiling or frying the meat. For meat that is already thin but still tough, like chicken schnitzels, the smaller spikes are used.
